Residents of Tambuwal Local Government Area of Sokoto State have protested in Tambuwal town over persistent security challenges ravaging communities across the area.
The protesters said the worsening insecurity had brought fear and untold hardship to residents, urging the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and property.
They called for immediate measures to restore peace and enable residents to carry out their legitimate activities without fear.
The protesters also urged relevant authorities to strengthen security operations across affected communities, stressing the need for decisive action to address the threats and prevent further deterioration of the situation.
They further called for sustained engagement among security agencies, government authorities and local communities to improve intelligence gathering and ensure a more effective response to the security challenges.
The demonstration underscores growing concern among residents over insecurity in parts of Tambuwal, with the protesters insisting that urgent intervention is needed to safeguard their communities.(The Guardian)
